Flipping a Portion of Your Design
The Flip Layout feature allows you to rotate a selected frame or group within your print template by 180°, helping you prepare accurate two-sided or folded print layouts.
When to Use It
Use this feature when part of your design needs to be flipped for the reverse side of a printed piece — for example:
Folded brochures
Double-sided postcards
Templates with mirrored sections

How It Works
Select a flippable area Choose a frame or group within your print template that represents the section to be flipped.
If no layer is selected, you’ll see an empty state prompting you to select one frame or group within your print template.
Enable the Flip Layout toggle Turn on the Flip Selected Frame 180° for Folded Print option. The selected section will visually rotate 180°, showing how it will appear on the reverse side once printed.

Preview and Adjust (local only)
To preview how your flipped design will appear, right-click the target frame or group and select Flip Horizontal. Alternatively, select the object and press Shift + H.

This preview is local only.
Do not use the manually flipped preview when submitting for print — doing so will result in a double flip. If you need the printed piece flipped according to the print layout, use the Flip for Print option in the Rechat plugin.
When Flip for Print is enabled in the Rechat plugin, nothing will flip visually in Figma.
This prevents designers from working on an upside-down layout and keeps editing friction low.
Flip information is stored and sent to the print service provider so they can output correctly (e.g., folded brochures, flyers).
Only frames or groups inside the main print template can be flipped.
